Stressed at work
It's 2:00 pm and I'm here at work behind my desk in the office. My head is feeling numb and dizzy. The job is stressful and it is not that rewarding. I'm working as a network engineer in some ISP (Internet Service Provider) company. However, the company I am working for sucks major ass. Two annoying bosses, low-budget expenditures, one day weekend, a lousy salary, and our net service is a joke. I'm waiting till it is 3:00 pm so that I can leave for home. Home! I am not talking with my father for more than a week. Meh... I'm really feeling stressed out.

You have my sympathy.
Hope you manage to unwind a bit tomorrow.
Sucks about the one day weekend and how you aren't talking with your dad...hope you rectify that situation man!
Relax and trust me, there are so many jobs worse than yours. but, one day weekend? omg!!
بس شكو بيها, قابل عندك دروس حته تخاف لتكون ممكمل تحضيرها؟ هههههههههههه
one week without papa talking? you seem to be kidding us!!
but you know what? it seems a wonderful thing with a result of you kissing each other, so the relation gets stronger further moooooooooore! ;)

Welcome to the daily grind, Caesar. That's where we got the acronym TGIF (Thank God it's Friday) from. lol!
A one day weekend kind of sucks. Ours are usually two. I get 3 days in our off season and only work half days on Friday during our busy season. I love it. But I have to use vacation time or take it without pay.
I'm sorry to hear about your not speaking to your Dad for a week. Even if you have nothing to say, it makes for an awkward atmosphere. :(
I've been busy with fall clean up. I bought a new leaf blower/vaccum and it's actually kind of fun. lol!
Thanks, pals, for your sweet comments. Anyway, I quit the job because it is simply crap. I'm looking for other better jobs and I had a job interview this morning and it seems promising. As regards my father, still not speaking to him. Having said all above, I feel ok and I'm attending a friend's wedding this evening. An occasion to meet some ladies. ;)
Thanks again for your comments. I do like you all and I wish all the best in your life.
You have a lovely fluid and elegant style of writing and your command of English is impressive.
The starkness of this last post about the mundane nature of the workplace compared to the description of the narrowly missed bomb-blast to the happy Eid pictures is as bewildering as life in Baghdad itself must be.
I am so sorry about what has happened in your country - I am an Englishwoman living in Holland (non military)- I really just wanted you to know the above and also that the majority of reasonable people in Europe are and always have been against this illegal invasion. We are embarassed by our politicians, it doesn't seem to matter who you vote for - it's always the same insane policies.
To be honest - I'm not sure our precious democracy is all that much worth having.
It looks to many of us that we are deliberately being kept busy with financial crises, so we don't have time to see all the evil they do in our name.
I wish I had the power to heal it all.
I wish you well.
Louise
Thanks a lot for your words, Louise. Welcome here!
