Yesterday's morning, I woke up on my sister's voice saying "Wake up! It's snowing out there!". I heavily tried to look at the clock with half closed eyes... "Sis! It's a sick joke!" I replied. But she insisted to get me up and get outside to witness that unfamiliar event. Well, it was cloudy, therefore, I moved my bum out of my bed and grabbed a jacket and went outside. And "Hell yea, it's snowing!". It was amazing thing to watch and feel those soft white chips falling from the sky. They were melting as soon as they touch my warm hand. I've never expected to watch the snow falling on our city.
Anyway, it's cold over here in Baghdad these days. The electric power is off since the beginning of this year, the tap water is available in days unavailable in others, the mobile network coverage is very bad over my nieghborhood & the landphones are out of reach since only god knows when. But the important thing is the security stituation, which is kinda stabled. But I think as a human being, I have the right to enjoy a comortable lifestyle by providing the main civil services like (electric power, feul, water, land phones... etc.). Anyway, let's enjoy the view of snow and hope that the sex part comes later! ;)

Caesar,
You keep up this good posting work, and soon you'll be passing that KKK guy. You just need to blog more often and talk about your own heavy metal band.
Well, I hope you received enough snow to make a snowman. You could do one of Maliki or al-Hakim or Muqtada, but you'd have to chain it to the ground to keep it from running off to Iran . Hah :)
You could do one of the Ayatollah Sistani and have death rays shoot out of his eyes to fry all the gay and lesbian Iraqis walking past the snowman. Hey. LOL.
Caesar,
That's awesome man! Snow in Baghdad, who'd a thunk it? Hey, I'm going to be out of here (the US) for a while but if I can I'll drop by on occasion. Keep going man!
Mel, you'll scare him back to his old discrimanatory comment moderation, lol.
I can't believe this! Our weather people go on and on about snow, snow, snow, and then it all falls in Scotland. And Baghdad apparently...*mumblemumblemutter*
Nah, Caesar will be happy to see me around here now, even if it's just for spamming.
Right, Caesar? *purrs*
Snow? Snow you say? Weeeeellll, I guess it can be kinda pretty and make everything look clean. Right now I'm looking out my dining room window at a whole lot of....white. :)
Glad you liked it. You may be seeing more of it in the future. Okay, okay, I won't get into all that global climate change stuff here. :P Anyway, it was nice that Iraqis had something to be pleased about for a change. I hope along with security the services start to improve also. Maybe we'll be seeing you more often then. :)
I heard it's snowing in Baghdad but it's an expression that we use for cold days. now I believe it.
good luck for you for the other part. take care and keep on posting, and most important updated.
Mister Ghost,
Hey man, what happened to you? I see that you've started to comment here and there in the Iraqi blogosphere. Every now and then I go back and read your great "In-T-Views" cross-posted on our blog. Nice to see you back.

I missed the snow :( I was home for the holidays. I hear its one of those once in a lifetime events. Oh well. G'luck with getting your power, running water and phone services.
Hi, all! Thanks for the visit and your sweet comments. I want to inform you that I'll be outta sight for some time. My course's final exams will be next week, therefore, I have to prepare myself hard enough.
@ Mel,
Welcome back, dear! My blog was missing your comments. Now you gotta drop some ink here very often.
@ Mr. Ghost,
Well, to bad the snow quantity was not much enough to make any snowman! Luckily for the Iraqi homosexual ppl. :P By the way, I'm into any heavymetal band!
@ Matt,
Have you buzzed me few days ago? I recieved "no number" missed call... *mumbles*
@ Lelly,
As long as I haven't enabled (annoy)mous ppl to comment here, I'm safe and happy enough.
@ Lynne,
Today's morning on my way to college, I've noticed spots of frozen water in the streets! It was cool. I think it's the coldest winter in Iraq ever. I think generally this winter is colder than the last winter in all over the world. Am I right?
@ Attawie,
Wow! You are here! How are you, girl?! Thanks for wishing me good luck. Keep visiting my blog, dear!
@ Jeff,
Mmmmm, thanks for dropping by anyway.
@ Jhondie,
Oh, so you aren't in Iraq anymore! Have you finished your service here or what? Anyway, I wish you all the best.
Caesar,
@ Jeff,
Mmmmm, thanks for dropping by anyway.
Heh heh. Hey, I HAD to leave a note for Mister Ghost. Listen, you KNOW we love you over at IBC. Good luck on your exams and blog as soon as you have a chance.

Hmmmm...cool? *mumble* *mumble* I can see he's never driven on those spots of frozen water. Well okay, maybe that can be kinda cool too... :P
A winter statistic
98% OF AMERICANS SAY "OH SHIT" BEFORE GOING IN THE DITCH ON A SLIPPERY ROAD.
THE OTHER 2% ARE FROM MINNESOTA AND THEY SAY, "HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS."
:D :D :D

Mmmmm...I don't know. Here it's kind of hit or miss. One week it's warmer than normal and the next week we're back in the deep freeze. :(
Good luck on the exams! :)
Nah, Caesar's not really driving cars - but he has some experience getting hit by them.... ;)
Let's hope the slippery roads won't increase the amount of hits. :P
Or do Iraqis drive better than Syrians???
Hi Caesar. I went home for an 18 day Vacation. I'm actually back in Baghdad now. I'll be home for good by April. Thanks for the well wishes.
...he has some experience getting hit by them.... ;)
*sigh* Didn't anyone ever teach that boy not to play in traffic? There are large metal objects that can hurt you out there.
jhondie,
Let me add my well wishes to Caesars. :) I hope the rest of your deployment is completed safely.
Hmmm...and if you're home by April you'll be just in time to file your income tax return. ;)
huyh. how is life habibi?

haha oh thats brilliant
Hi Caesar,
Well, if you like snow so much, you are welcome to have some of ours! ;) Actually, this year it hasn't snowed all that much in Indiana. Last year was much worse!
So, if you have no electricity and no fuel, how do you stay warm? Iraqis have so many troubles, they certainly don't need to add freezing to death to the list!
Good luck with your exams!
Hi, pals! I'm taking a break now. I've finished a tough week of exams and another is yet to come.
thanks for commenting and I wish you all the best all. see ya later!
Snow in Baghdad? Wow! It's going to global warming. Isn’t it? :) I mind “The day after tomorrow” movie. lol
Hey, is it me or is there a link to my blog on this one?
THANKYOU my dear! :D
Don't mention it, Lelly! It's better than writing your blog's url in the adress bar whenever I wanted to access your blog.
Anyway, I've finished my exams and I'm waiting for the results. I feel worried about two exams. I'm ok here, so is the weather. It's getting warmer these days. I hope I can post something new soon.
Can't you just click on people's names and access it from the profile? Anyway, not complaining!
Thnx for comment. Good luck.:)
